New 5440 Video Featured on MySpace Canada!

5440 has created a video for a newly recorded song Northern Soul which is the featured video on MySpace Canada. The video was animated by Ontario artist Sol Friedman.

The song appears on the still to be completed new 5440 record due out later this year on True North Records.

Donate to the Scott Harding Fund!

At 3am on Friday, February 15, 2008, music producer Scott Harding was the victim of a car crash, returning home from a late night mixing session. The cab he was riding in was broadsided by a stolen car; the impact crushed Harding’s T5 vertebrae, leaving him partially paralyzed. Scott's condition is serious and like many dedicated musicians he is without health insurance and is facing very large medical and legal fees.

The short term need to raise cash in order to handle Scott’s affairs is very real. His friends and the dedicated musical community that Scott has long been a part of quickly united, forming The Scotty Hard Trust, a special account which will help to handle Scott’s financial needs through private monetary donations.

5440 ON CBC RADIO 2!

On May 31 at Brian Adam's famous Warehouse Studios in Vancouver BC, 54-40 gave a special acoustic performance to a group of contest winners from the CBC radio listenership.

Nov. 9 at 8pm, CBC Radio 2 will air a nationwide broadcast of a great concert by a great band in a great studio.

The concert will also stream off the cbc.ca site on November 9th.

Check cbc.ca to see the Radio 2 frequency for your region and be sure to TUNE IN ON NOVEMBER 9th.

5440 DOES THE TITLE TRACK ON NEWLY RELEASED TRIBUTE TO NEIL YOUNG!

54-40 is please to have contributed their rendition of Borrowed Tune to the newly released Borrowed Tunes II: A Tribute to Neil Young.

Borrowed Tunes started in 1994 when Canadian Artists paid tribute to Neil Young one of Canada's greatest singer songwriters. The first double disc release raised over $250,000.00 for 2 charities The Bridge School and Safehaven.

We are very pleased and excited to have contributed to this project!

54-40 JOINED AEROSMITH, CHEAP TRICK AND CHISTA BORDEN FOR THE BIGGEST ROCK SHOW IN PEI!!!

On Wednesday July 18th , 5440 received the call to join Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Christa Borden in Charlottetown, PEI for the biggest rock show in the history of Prince Edward Island.

BLAST AT THE BEACH took place on Saturday July 21 at The CDP Entertainment Centre. Needless to say, 5440 was thrilled to play in front of the 30,000 in attendance.

"One Gun" Music Video Screened at DOXA

54•40 is pleased to announce that they their video for One Gun will be screened at this years DOXA Documentary Film Festival.

DOXA is western Canada's biggest documentary festival. It explores and celebrates the art of the documentary and has premiered award-winning films from around the world - films like Born into Brothels, A State of Mind, The Swenkas, The Armwrestler from Solitude and Bombay Calling.

The video will be screened as part of the Art of War Program.

Rock.It Boy Entertainment offers full refunds and free tickets to any ticket-holders turned away from Friday’s 54-40 show at Mustang’s in Aldergrove.!

Rock It Boy Entertainment and 54-40 wish to apologize to the fans for any inconvenience caused to the ticket holders who were unable to see the 54-40 show at Mustangs Bar & Grill on Friday March 31, 2006.

Local liquor and police officials were present at the venue and felt that the number of patrons in attendance exceeded the posted capacity of the venue, and would not allow anyone else to enter the building.

Rock.It Boy Entertainment wishes to convene the deepest regrets to these valued customers and offers not only full refunds, but also a free ticket to any upcoming Rock.It Boy concert within the next six months.

If you were turned away from Mustang’s and have an intact, unused ticket for the show, please take it, in person, to the point-of-purchase Ticketmaster outlet. You will receive your full refund, plus Ticketmaster will take your name and phone number so you can be contacted by Rock.It Boy Entertainment to arrange your free ticket.
